In order to carry out its assigned tasks, the Research and Consulting Affairs adopts four general policies (research – consulting – training and development – transformation into houses of expertise), its position is flexibility and achieving the maximum possible benefit for stakeholders, with an emphasis on commitment to the values and principles of the Libyan International Medical University.

Our Policies

Policy Statement:

The Libyan International University for Medical Sciences, through the Research and Consulting Affairs, is committed to providing the best appealing and encouraging environment for scientific research by building and investing research and institutional capacities, and using knowledge theories and their applications, in a way that contributes to providing applied solutions to society’s problems, and works to graduate distinguished entrepreneurial generations. The Research and Consultation Center prepares the necessary procedures to support the research activities of faculty members and students.

Policy Objectives:

  • Supporting the scientific research process by providing a scientific and regulatory environment that stimulates scientific production.
  • Directing research efforts towards producing integrated and organized knowledge.
  • Stimulating and enriching scientific and research production by funding scientific and research projects and activities.
  • Achieving the university’s strategic goals in regards to the development of scientific research and the advancement of knowledge capital.
  • Providing researchers with the opportunity to develop their scientific awareness and expertise.
  • Legalizing and encouraging participation in scientific conferences and seminars inside and outside of Libya.
  • Encouraging researchers to publish their research productions in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Enhancing the ethical aspect of the scientific research process.
  • Encouraging the human mind to explore the depths of knowledge.
  • Enhancing cooperation with researchers from various scientific institutions.

Application of the policy’s provisions:

Scientific research policies and procedures apply to all faculty members, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and researchers from inside and outside the university, and to all grants and research projects funded from inside and outside the university.

Policy Statement:

The Libyan International Medical University, through Research and Consulting Affairs, provides services for preparing studies and providing consultations in many fields, with a high degree of reliability and effectiveness; by investing qualified human capital inside and outside the university, which is reflected positively in the final outcome on all parties of the consulting process and the society as a whole.

Policy Objectives:

  • Highlighting the role of the Libyan International Medical University as a house of expertise and knowledge, and building bridges of cooperation with public and private institutions in the surrounding environment.
  • Developing the financial resources of the university and achieving diversification in revenues in line with the university’s strategy.
  • Benefiting from the academic expertise available within the university, and available in the community by cooperating with it and providing them with the opportunity to provide consultations.
  • Governance of the consulting process at all stages.
  • Interpret scientific knowledge into practical knowledge, and applying it on the ground in projects that have material and moral returns.

General Principles of Policy:

  • Objectivity in providing advice.
  • Refusing to provide consultations or studies that have a negative impact on society and its members.
  • Commitment to the values of the university and the ethical and legal system in society, when searching for, obtaining, and implementing consulting opportunities.

Scope of application of the policy:

  • Consultants cooperating with the center from inside or outside the university.
  • Institutions, companies, public and private bodies contracting with the Research and Consulting Affairs to provide consultations and are expected to be contracted.

Policy Statement:

Research and Consulting Affairs adopts a number of training policies through which it can develop the scientific skills and capabilities of university employees in various fields, through the educational means available for that, to enable them in the final outcome to enhance the effectiveness of performance and build a knowledge society.

Policy Objectives:

  • Enhancing the research production of the Libyan International Medical University in quantity and quality.
  • Proper scientific methodological construction of the scientific research process in all its stages.
  • Sustainable professional development, rehabilitation and continuous development of university employees.
  • Determining training needs according to scientific bases.
  • Measuring the impact of training on the production of scientific research.
  • Qualify the trainees to provide consultations through acquired knowledge.

General Principles of the Policy:

  • Opening the way for members of the Libyan International Medical University with their various jobs and scientific and academic degrees to benefit from the training.
  • Determine the topics and materials presented according to a scientific methodology.
  • Selecting trainers with the necessary knowledge and capabilities to deliver training courses.

Based on the distinction achieved by the Libyan International Medical University in many scientific fields, which allowed it to gain experience in the acquisition, development and ability to transfer knowledge in these fields, the Research and Consulting Affairs has adopted a number of policies that enable it to frame this experience gained within a project that includes the fields of research, consulting and training , in order to achieve the maximum possible benefit in a manner that achieves sustainability for the local community.

  • Highlighting the scientific status the university has reached.
  • Benefiting the community and localizing the knowledge and experience gained in it.
  • Determine the areas that can be organized for the House of Expertise project.
  • Achieving a financial return through cooperation with public and private institutions.
  • Cooperate with international institutions in terms of financing and benefiting from research.
